Apparently I’m quite the threat. All my truthiness was a little too much for them to handle. Honestly #FetusLobby, I’m flattered.

I’ll be sure to let my Mother know that her Mother (my maternal Grandmother) suffered through breast cancer and a mastectomy in 1985 because of all those abortions she had.

Except oh wait… she was done having children in 1961, 12 years before Roe v Wade passed (and when I say done I mean she was already in the throws of menopause when she had my Uncle in 1961). And she spent all of her life, with the exception of about 7 years, in deeply isolated rural country where access to a doctor was scarce, let alone one who could perform an illegal abortion. And when she did live in a major urban setting (Chicago) she was so desperately trying to get pregnant and have a child that the only reason she lived there was because she ran away with another man and left her infertile husband back home.

I’m sure there were a few secret abortions in there that caused her breast cancer. Good call.
